Her poems have appeared in over 100 magazines and anthrologies, and her long poem, "The Sound of the Birds" was runner-up for the National Magazine Award in 1993. She is the head of the creating writing program at Queen's University.

When he forges an unlikely friendship with a young boy who acts as his translator, Tivii experiences rebirth, acceptance of others and hope.

Please join the Canadian Studies Center for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings in Room 303 International Center

The Canadian Studies Brown Bag Luncheon Series presents Mike Unsworth, Canadian Studies librarian, will demonstrate several online databases that provide excellent resources for Canadian Studies researchers. He'll discuss news aggregators such as Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, and Ethnic Newswatch as well a discipline-specific tools. Statistics Canada resources will also be highlighted. Mike has been Canadian Studies librarian since 1995 and has received Embassy research grants on the World War II Japanese balloon attack on Canada, Canadian garbage in Michigan, and a tribute to the National Film Board of Canada at the East Lansing Film Festival.
