Modern Languages
The study of Modern Language at Michigan State University involves linguistics, cultural studies, and language learning and teaching. Program goals focus on the ability to communicate efficiently and sensitively in another language with people of different cultural backgrounds. Above all, MSU is dedicated to the principle that the most important outcome of a modern language education is greater self-awareness and an increased understanding of, and interest in all people and all cultures.
