The MSU Office of International Studies and Programs, in cooperation with the MSU Alumni Association, sponsored MSU Global Focus 2000, the second annual international photography competition for MSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

More than 310 valid entries were received from 118 entrants. A juror panel made up of two MSU faculty members and one photographer and studio owner from the community sifted through the many excellent submissions to select the top winners and honorable mentions.

The winning photos, along with information about the artists, their prizes and the sponsors, are displayed in the following pages. Displays of the framed enlargements of the 2000 top three photos from each category will be displayed in the International Center in spring 2001.
