The Center sponsors a variety of events for the university and local community.

Seminar series
The advanced seminar series, known as the "Charlas," is held weekly on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in room 201 of the International Center at MSU, unless otherwise indicated. Scholars, practitioners, and faculty from the US and Latin America present a variety of disciplinary topics. The seminars provide an opportunity for students to discuss current events pertinent to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Latin American Music Series
Along with the School of Music, CLACS co-sponsors this series that introduces the audience to a range of Latin American music including classical, modern, and traditional musical performances.

Conferences
CLACS hosts and organizes a variety of conferences for students and faculty.
