Undergraduate Program

The Latin American and Caribbean undergraduate specialization program has close to 100 students enrolled. While strengthening the Spanish and Portuguese language offerings, newly-added three levels of Haitian Creole increase academic options. Course offerings extend beyond language and literature to a range of disciplinary and inter- disciplinary course options. The annual undergraduate conference gives students the opportunity to present research projects they have done for a class or study abroad to their peers and faculty. Students also can learn about career options for after graduation. Working with professional schools has expanded course offerings at MSU and in Latin America through Study abroad programs. Nationally, MSU ranks first for study abroad with over 30 undergraduate programs in Latin America.
