The Couples Supper Club (CSC) has gotten underway for 2004-05! We have had numerous changes in our list of participants due to graduations and new babies (the international couples) and travel and other commitments (the American hosts). Dottie Schmidt and Emily Ow have worked hard this fall to recruit more participants, and we now have enough for eight dinner groups serving thirteen international couples.

CSC is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, learn about other cultures, and enjoy sharing some ethnic food together. Those of you who have traveled the world can appreciate how rare the opportunity is to have dinner in a private home while abroad. Through a group such as CSC and the personal contacts we make, we can, in some small way, bridge the cultural gaps and demonstrate something positive about who we Americans are.
