Every Tuesday Group
The Every Tuesday group (E.T.) continues to flourish and serve the needs of numerous international spouses. This fall we have averaged about twenty international wives and a dozen of their preschool children per meeting. They come from Cameroon, Chile, China, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Korea, Peru, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Zambia.

At the first meeting in September, the ET Group painted flowerpots and planted cuttings, and everyone took home deco-rative houseplants. The second meeting featured a cooking demonstration of apple recipes, followed the next week by a trip to an orchard to pick apples. Other recent activities have included lessons in cross-stitching, Halloween pumpkin carving and scrapbook making. In November, the women will make seasonal house deco-rations and learn how to cook a Thanksgiving turkey with all the side dishes. On December 6th, the ET Group will enjoy the traditional end-of-semester potluck luncheon. And in January, another round of activities will begin.
"E.T." meets every Tuesday (except the second Tuesday of the month) from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at University Lutheran Church, 1020 South Harrison Road across from Cherry Lane Apartments.
The Every Tuesday Group provides social activities and weekly crafts and cooking
opportunities for spouses of international students. To know more, call Tammy
