On Wednesday, March 16^th, a group of international students from Haslett English as a Second Language Program visited Arlene Roe in her beautiful home in Lansing. Arlene was a wonderful hostess.

She served a delicious chicken salad for lunch and a pineapple upside-down cake for desert. One of our students, Hanife from Turkey, brought a traditional Turkish desert as a gift for the hostess. We enjoyed the tour of Arlene’s home and stories related to various artifacts she has all around her home. The students also shared stories from their countries. Before we left everyone got a little Easter basket with chocolate eggs. We all had a great time and we hope to see Arlene again.
