The intention of the donors is to make a contribution to the ultimate goal of developing a world in which peaceful relations can be maintained among peoples and nations without excessive reliance on military means -- and as a means to that end, to make a contribution to the immediate goal of stimulating students at Michigan State University to become vitally involved in the search for solutions to global issues.
