March on Lansing
What: Rally on the steps of the State Capitol
When: January 21, 2017 - 1pm-3pm
The goal of this march is to be all inclusive -- it will be a peaceful demonstration in opposition to the wave of hate crimes and violence, and threates of official discrimination that have proliferated following the election. Women will march proudly alongside our allies from any religion, of any race, of all sexual orientations and genders, and of all abilities as a united front. We want to be clear that we won't tolerate any sexism, bigotry, racism, hate, or intolerance from our elected officials.
We are for a Michigan that respects and protects all its citizens, that celebrates diversity and nurtures the human potential in each of us. This will be a sister event to the Women's March on Washington for those who are unable to be there.
