The VIPP graduation ceremony was held Sunday, December 11th 2017 at Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center at Michigan State University. VIPP Graduates, staff and faculty got together to celebrate the achievements of our visiting scholars and professionals. In total, 41 participants graduated this fall from VIPP. All of them successfully received VIPP GPEP (Global Professional Education Program) or SGPEP (Specialized Global Professional Education Program) certificates.

Dr. Xinyu Wu, director of VIPP welcomes graduates to ceremony and congratulates them on their achievements.

In addition to VIPP staff and faculty, Dr. DeAndra Beck, Associate Dean for Research in International Studies and Programs, attended the ceremony to congratulate VIPP scholars.

VIPP collaborated with MSU Eli Broad College of Business and 4 SGPEP participants received awards from the Business School for their achievements.

The highlight of the event was a film screening produced by China International Publishing Group (CIPG). 6 journalism professionals documented their study and life at MSU and produced a 10 minute-long movie. The film was a big hit! VIPP was so impressed by the professional quality and authenticity of the film. The film documented six members' unique VIPP and American experiences with wit, honesty, and authenticity.

Lei Zhong, a journalist from China International Publishing Group, introduces the movie to the audience.

Local students played marimba music to celebrate the event.

Once a Spartan, forever a Spartan! VIPP is proud of our alumni and will continue cheering for their success and future endeavors. To the graduating class of Fall 2017, your time on campus has come to an end, but we know that your Spartan journey will continue after graduation. We look forward to keeping in touch!
