Teams will work in spectacular mountain or lowland forest fragments, including primary undisturbed rainforest and other tropical evergreen forest types, sampling and recording a diversity of rare plant specimens for herbarium collections and further study. You will often work in the company of local villagers, many of whom are well versed in traditional names, medicinal uses, and lore around forest species, and can locate new species and additional plant populations. Team I: October 2-15, Team II: October 19-November 1, Team III: November 4-17.

Students on the Beloit Exchange will be free to select courses from the wide range offered by the University, though most students will probably be interested in courses offered through the Faculté des Letters et Sciences Humaines and the Faculté Des Sciences Juridiques et Politiques Classes are Fall & spring semester. Application deadlines are November 15 (early) & February 15 (final). Deadline for non-Beloit students is April 1 for fall term and October 15 for spring term.
