Join the most prestigious and powerful student government in the Big Ten
Published: Tuesday, 05 Mar 2013
The Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU) are looking for students from the International Studies and Programs to run as a representative for the General Assembly. ASMSU is interested in students that embody leadership skills, are dedicated to making a difference, and care about their college.
ASMSU serves as the student voice to University administrators as well as city, state and federal government officials. ASMSU's Funding and Programming boards provide student groups with more than half a million dollars in funding for a variety of campus events; and our legal department provides free professional legal services to the undergraduate students at MSU.
The General Assembly is the ultimate decision making body of ASMSU, and as a representative you would be representing your fellow students as the largest and most influential student governing body on campus. This means you will have opportunities to champion new ideas and initiatives to change and enrich the experiences of current and future generations of Spartans.
It is ASMSU's mission to serve the students of Michigan State University by providing strong representation, making impactful decisions and advocating for the rights and interests of the undergraduate student body. New voices and emerging leaders enhance the spirit of the organization and act as the guiding force behind positive change on campus.
To apply you will need to gather 25 signatures of students within your college and return the petition to 307 Student Services by Friday, March 22, 2013 at noon.
