International Studies and Programs Announces January 24 Deadline for 2007 International Awards Cerem (/news/?id=84) Published: Monday, 18 Dec 2006The MSU Office of International Studies and Programs invites nominations for seven awards to be given at the 17th Annual International Awards Ceremony on March 21, 2007. Information about the ceremony and nomination forms for the current awards are available on the web at www.isp.msu.edu/iac and from Kathy Riel in the ISP Deans Office (517-355-2350, riel@msu.edu). The deadline for all award nominations is Wednesday January 24, 2007.

MSU Beijing Office Hosts Reception for New Chinese Students (/news/?id=64) Published: Monday, 10 Jul 2006A recent reception at MSU’s new Beijing office provided an opportunity for around 20 newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students from China to meet and mingle with MSU staff and alumni, as well as a group of Michigan students participating in MSU’s new “China Adventure” study abroad program.

MSU's Kresge Art Museum Celebrates the Year of African Arts and Culture with William Kentridge Exhib (/news/?id=53) Published: Monday, 27 Feb 2006MSU's Kresge Art Museum is hosting an exhibition of twenty prints by critically acclaimed South African artist William Kentridge, as part of MSUs year-long focus on African Arts and Culture (see www.culturalconnection.msu.edu). Alumni Couple Active in Congo Wildlife Conservation (/news/?id=37) Published: Monday, 09 May 2005Two MSU alumni, Terese and John Hart, are working to foster conservation in the midst of armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Terese is currently the director of the Wildlife Conservation Societys (WCS) operations in the DRC, and her husband John heads up a major wildlife inventory and monitoring initiative in that country involving the Okapi Wildlife Reserve and several national parks.

International Awards Ceremony 2005 Honors 12 for International Engagement (/news/?id=36) Published: Wednesday, 20 Apr 2005The 15th Annual International Awards Ceremony was held April 20 in the Delia Koo International Academic Center. This years ceremony, designated an MSU Sesquicentennial event, was dedicated to Professor Gill-Chin Lim, former dean of ISP, who died recently at the age of 58. Twelve individuals, including MSU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and volunteers, as well as community members received six distinct awards.
