One goal for MSU is for our graduates to have a familiarity with the world beyond our borders and how the world system works, said Peter Briggs, director of the Office for International Students and Scholars, who was tapped by President Lou Anna Kimsey Simon to head MSUs tsunami relief efforts.

    Bhooma Aravamuthan of Kalamazoo is the recipient of a Marshall Scholarship for 2005 and the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom. As a Marshall Scholar, she will pursue a master of science in neuroscience at the University of Oxford, where she will continue seeking answers to and treatments for Parkinsons disease and other neurological illnesses.
