On April 13, 2013, MSU alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends have a special opportunity to come together for MSU’s first Global Day of Service. Help show the power and spirit of Spartans everywhere. A special website has been created to register service projects that Spartans are involved in on 4-13-13.  The site also allows Spartans to find and join other Spartan led service project on 4-13-13.

The Peace Corps team at Michigan State University will hold a recruitment event on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 to 11:30 am as part of MSU’s Alumni weekend festivities. A special guest – Carrie Hessler-Radelet, Acting Director of the Peace Corps, will be available between 10:30 and 11: 30 am to interact with current Peace Corps applicants, MSU students and their families and MSU alumni.

On Wednesday, March 21 the 2012 International Awards Ceremony was held where Kerim Ertan won the Joon S. Moon Distinguished International Alumni Award at MSU.

On Wednesday, March 23, at its International Award Ceremony, the Office of International Studies and Programs celebrated staff, students and community members for their efforts to foster international understanding.

Michigan State University Alumni Association will host several Parent Tea event in China between March 1 and March 9. Events will be held in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.

International Studies and Programs (ISP), in partnership with the Michigan State University Alumni Association, have opened the call for entries to the 2010 international photo competition, Global Focus. Submissions are due Friday, October 1, 2010.

EAST LANSING, Mich. A public affairs consultant, who works closely with MSUs Visiting International Professional Programs, was the inaugural winner of the Charles A. Gliozzo International Award for Public Diplomacy at the 19th annual International Studies and Programs Awards ceremony held on April 1.

After a national search, Claire Brender has joined Michigan State University as director of international alumni relations. She will work with International Studies and Programs and the MSU Alumni Association.
