Academic Qualifications

Michigan State University (MSU) is a broadly diversified university and a decentralized one. Academic hiring qualifications are set at the individual academic unit level. It is fully anticipated that the top candidates for a Center Director position will have no trouble meeting any minimum academic unit required qualifications. However, there is no guarantee that any particular academic unit will be open to a joint appointment and it is recognized that a failure to be accepted in an academic unit may be a deal killer to either International Studies and Programs or to the candidate. While applicants are strongly discouraged from making overtures to academic units during the application process, applicants are strongly encouraged to research any academic units of interest and to make sure their application materials will "present well" to such units.

To begin your search of MSU's academic units, the Academic Units by College link and MSU Resources link are suggested.
