Study abroad student

With over 250 programs in 60 countries on all continents, study abroad at Michigan State University helps students stay on track for graduation by offering credits in a diverse selection of courses. Unique programs such as international credit-bearing internships, comparative study of disability and related services and intensive master classes for musicians are just a few examples of the study abroad programs available.

We are proud to note that MSU students are studying abroad in record numbers. Each year, more than 2,800 of our students are transformed by their educational experiences outside of the United States. Our students can be found in classrooms, research and field stations throughout the world. By going abroad they open themselves to experiences that help develop skills and competencies to work in diverse environments, to accommodate “difference” and to adjust quickly to unexpected changes.

We invite both undergraduate and graduate students to consider a study abroad program while at MSU. The experienced staff and advisors in the Office of Study Abroad are available to help with program selection and arrangements throughout the study abroad experience.
