Muslim Studies Program

Gifts to the Muslim Studies Program supports a center designed to coordinate research and teaching about the Muslim world. The program aspires to aid in the development of courses relating to Muslim countries and regions and to hold seminars, workshops, and conferences on different parts and facets of the Muslim world.

Women and International Development

MSU's Women and International Development program acts as a catalyst for the scholarly discussion of gender, development, and global change. Funds are used for research, outreach and scholarships to students involved in internships.

David D. Horner International Student Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Horner Fund is to provide emergency Scholarship assistance to students in financial distress and to further the University's interest in obtaining the educational benefits derived from a racially and ethnically diverse student body. The scholarships are made without expectation of repayment. The situations that cause a student to apply for an emergency scholarship are broad-ranging and might be anything from loss of housing to family health issues to unbudgeted academic costs. The characteristics of these situations however, are unanticipated by the student, not of the student's creation and are a threat to the student's ability to remain at MSU. The scholarship will be used as a tool to retain international students whose participation in the classroom and presence on campus foster a varied educational experience that helps all students learn and prepares them for an increasingly diverse society.

Visiting International Professional Program

Gifts to Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP) supports endowment funds for unique, non-degree certificate programs for international professionals, businesses, and organizations.

Community Volunteers for International Programs (CVIP)

This nonprofit volunteer organization extends a warm and generous welcome to approximately 4,000 international students and their families from 110 countries who are associated with Michigan State University. Gifts to the organization

Japan Center for Michigan Universities

JCMU Endowment funds provide funding to students participating in the organization's  Japanese language and culture programs. These programs engage students both academically and with the local community through home stays, internships, volunteer work and other activities.
