U.S. Department of State Travel Recommendations

The U.S. Department of State's Office of American Citizens Services and Crisis Management (ACS) provides information for the public on conditions abroad that may affect safe and secure travel.

• U.S. Department of State Travel Registry (/https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/ui/) for United States citizens, permanent residents or other visa holders who are traveling/moving to a foreign country. Registration can also help the Department of State provide assistance in case of an emergency while abroad.

• Overseas Security Advisory Council (http://www.osac.gov/) provides timely information and news updates for the private sector, including colleges and universities, on which to make informed decisions about security issues.
