The Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP) was established in 1991 as an
outreach program of
International Studies and Programs. It was designed in the context
of the dawning era of globalization to provide international
professionals and scholars with a multidimensional educational
experience in the United States, emphasizing professional knowledge,
English language training, and cross-cultural education.
VIPP has hosted visiting scholars from more than eighteen countries,
including Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, India, Iran,
Jordan, the Ukraine, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom,
Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Sweden. Over 3000 participants
to date have graduated from VIPP.
The VIPP staff continues to work hard to assure our international
visiting scholars a high quality of learning and living experience
during their stay in the MSU community. 1991
