To address current and future challenges, professionals seek global perspectives to enhance their knowledge base with their peers around the world. VIPP's non-degree, certificate programs are committed to globalizing perspectives and innovating futures.

VIPP was originally developed as a professional education program in 1991 as part of International Studies and Programs. Since the first program of eight participants, VIPP has expanded to include four distinct programs with more than 200 participants each year, and more than 4,000 alumni from 30 countries.

Participants engage in regular academic classes, specialized lectures, group discussions, seminars and independent research on MSU's campus in East Lansing, Michigan. Programs utilize a vast array of resources to meet the goals of VIPP: professional development, cultural enhancement and global awareness.
