After approving your documents and profile, the VIPP director will send you an acceptance letter.

OISS review process

VIPP will submit all documents to the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) and receive a SEVIS DS-2019 from OISS.

Sending *SEVIS forms to new VIPP fellow

VIPP will express-mail the SEVIS DS-2019 to the applicant as soon as VIPP receives it from OISS. The applicant can then use the SEVIS form to apply for a J1 VISA.

*SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System): An Internet-based software application being developed by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) that will provide tracking and monitoring of non-immigrant students (F and M visas) and exchange visitors (J visa) and their dependents.
