Program Fees
Current costs subject to change at any time. All amounts are listed in U.S. Dollars.
Program fee estimates cover all VIPP program components (academic courses and the use of VIPP facilities and services). Program fees also cover up to the stated number of equivalent credit hours for academic courses in the non-degree life-long education program (LEP) as listed below. Living cost estimates assume standard dormitory double room with the ten meals per week plan and includes estimates for health insurance, books, local transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses. Participant is responsible for buying own health insurance either from home country or from MSU. Insurance must meet U.S government (INS) requirement for coverage. Full program fees for the entire period of study (and the entire period of the DS2019/visa) are to be paid in their entirety prior to arrival in the U.S. unless other arrangements have been made. Following are Total Costs (living cost and program fees) as well as Program Fee portion separated out in parentheses. These estimates may vary depending upon the tuition and room and board rates set by the MSU Board of Trustees.

Please Note : student can take more than 12 credits (typically 4 courses) in any particular semester but must take at least 12 credits each semester including in the summer semester.
Estimated Minimum Budget (for two regular semesters)
The Office of International Student and Scholars (OISS) estimates the minimum total cost program fees and for living costs for this VIPP-GSEP program for two regular semesters as follows;
An individual student applicant - $18,000
Student applicant and family members - $24,000, including rent, foods, and so on. This amount should be showed on the bank statement or any other type of the financial statement in the application procedure.
