The Global Student Education Program at VIPP is a unique student education program designed for students sponsored by universities abroad, who have linkage agreements with Michigan State University. The program strives to give students a wide range of opportunities to promote their academic growth and English language skill, while fostering specific skills that lead to the development of intercultural competence.
GSEP offers students the chance to live in, get an education in, and come to know another culture rather than just read about or visit it. Michigan State University, a well-known academic and research institution located in the Midwestern U.S., provides diverse cultural environments and excellent academic resources. Students can enjoy studying various subjects both online and in the classroom.
These educational opportunities allow students to step out of their familiar environment into an eye-opening experience that enhances them in many ways. Not only do students get advanced knowledge from Michigan State University, they also get the opportunity to learn about the culture, the people, the language, and the historical sites in the U.S.
Credits students earn at MSU may be transferable to their own universities depending on the linkage agreement between the two universities. Currently, a total of 50 students from Dong-Guk University and Kyonggi University in Korea are attending this program.
The program objectives :
- Provide an opportunity for students to study at MSU.
- Increase awareness and understanding of American culture.
- Improve English language skills.
PLEASE NOTE: Acceptance into VIPP neither constitutes nor guarantees admission
to any degree-granting department within the university. If
you wish to pursue a degree (i.e. bachelors, masters, or doctorate),
you should also contact the appropriate department directly.
