Come join certified tea master Takatomo Katagi and learn more about the origin of Japanese green tea and how he practices tea culture. Mr. Katagi is the 7th-generation owner of Katagi Kouka En in Asamiya, Shiga. They have been growing green tea for over 40 years using no pesticides or chemicals. Asamiya tea is top rated and one of 5 major tea brands in Japan. It has a long history too, dating back 1,200 years.

The event is free and open to the public. Teas are available for purchase by cash. An interpreter will be present to translate into English for Mr. Katagi.
