We did not spend a lot of time in classrooms. Our professors had us keeping journals and visiting actual historically significant sites (Tower of London, Westminster, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge ...) in addition to attending Shakespeare in the Park.

After classes were done, I spent a month travelling all over Europe with a Eurail Pass!! I took hundreds of photos!!
