Dr. Gabrielle Vail specializes in Mayan archaeology, epigraphy, and ethno-history. Deciphering indigenous astronomies and cosmologies as seen in pre-Hispanic Mayan texts and textile designs will be the focus of her talk. Vali teaches at UNC, Chapel Hill where she is the Program Director for InHerit: Passed to Present Research Labs of Archaeology
