International Studies and Programs Announces January 24 Deadline for 2007 International Awards Cerem

The MSU Office of International Studies and Programs invites nominations for seven awards to be given at the 17th Annual International Awards Ceremony on March 21, 2007.

The purpose of this event, hosted each spring by the Dean of International Studies and Programs, is to bring together MSU faculty, staff, students, community volunteers, and others from the wider Michigan community to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions toward international understanding.

Current awards honoring MSU faculty, alumni and students, as well as internationally-involved Michigan citizens, include:

Ralph Smuckler Award for Advancing International Studies and Programs. John K. Hudzik Emerging Leader in Advancing International Studies and Programs Award. Joon S. Moon Distinguished International Alumni Award. Gill-Chin Lim Award for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Global Studies. Glen Taggart Award for Community Contribution to International Understanding. MSU Award for Outstanding Service to Study Abroad. Homer Higbee International Education Award.

The deadline for all award nominations is Wednesday January 24, 2007.

The 2007 ceremony will take place March 21, 2007 on the third floor of the Delia Koo International Academic Center from 3:00 P.M - 5:00 P.M.
