Researchers at MSU and four partnering institutions in the U.S. will use a $28 million, five year grant from USAID to bolster agricultural education and research systems in Senegal, in hopes of increasing food supply and improving nutrition.

The consortium will work with four Senegalese university and five training centers as part of the Capacity Building for Agriculture Education and Research project. CBAER is part of the U.S. government’s Feed the Future initiative, an effort to address the underlying causes of hunger and malnutrition around the world.
