    EAST LANSING, Mich. — A Michigan State University veterinary professor and African Studies Center faculty member has been appointed an Officer in the Order of Australia for his work to improve the lives of millions of people with debilitating diseases and his contributions toward eliminating the ailments in many parts of the world.

    During my time in Sydney, we were able to attend a State of Origin rugby game, which is comparable to the Pro Bowl for American football, except that the State of Origin game is taken way more seriously than the Pro Bowl is in the United States. The game is played in ANZ stadium (the stadium that housed the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney) and is a HUGE rivalry between New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland.

  • MSU Federal Credit Union Scholarships Support 47 Students for Study Abroad Published: Thursday, 05 May 2005
    In 2004, the MSU Federal Credit Union established a $2.5 million endowment for MSU study abroad scholarships. This endowment has greatly increased available scholarship funds for MSU students studying abroad. Forty-seven students were awarded scholarships to study abroad during winter break 2004-2005, spring semester 2005, and summer semester 2005. Below are the scholarship award recipients (with major, program, and destination) announced during the endowments second year.
