Health, Mental Health and Students with Disabilities Abroad

Description
This workshop will address the challenges program leaders face when students become sick, injured, display mental health symptoms, or need special accommodations. Topics will include how to handle incidents involving sick and injured students or staff, mental health incidents, and assisting students with disabilities. There will be time for processing past experiences and reinforcing consistent criteria for responding to these issues abroad. We are inviting panelists from the Travel Clinic, General Counsel, MSU Counseling Center, Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and the Office of Study Abroad. The workshop is scheduled for Monday, April 8th from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm in the International Center Spartan Room B off of the Food Court. A box lunch is provided.
