105 International Center

Biography: Doreen Sheridan is the Coordinator for Exchanges and Freshman Seminars Abroad in the office. In this role, she works with MSU's exchange partner universities, prospective or current exchange students and the Freshman Seminars Abroad teams and vendors. As the Exchanges Coordinator, Doreen communicates with partner universities regarding mutually beneficial study opportunities, which are summarized in exchange agreement documents, and offers support to students with questions about the application process, the semester at MSU or the exchange program in general.

Originally from Germany, Doreen came to the U.S. as an international student more than 14 years ago. She studied Linguistics and Psychology at Montclair State University in New Jersey and earned an MBA from Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. Doreen has enjoyed exploring many of the U.S. states, but has come to love Michigan with its natural beauty, history and culture. Consequently, she now owns a wide selection of fleece clothing and excellent snow tires, but really the Michigan winter can be fun also.

Doreen has worked in the field of international education for more than 8 years and is passionate about offering enriching study and campus life opportunities for students. Having been an international student herself, Doreen is excited to support those students who travel to MSU for their study-abroad experiences. It is important to her that all exchange students have the best possible experience in Michigan as they immerse themselves on campus and in the U.S. culture.
