A panel discussion featuring:

  • Karen Garrett, a professor at the University of Florida and founded their Institute for Sustainable Food Systems. She works on evaluating new food systems platforms to determine if they are having a positive impact after considering socioeconomic and biophysical factors
  • Cynthia Rosenzweig, project lead at NASA's Goddard Institute and a professor of EnvSci at Barnard College. She heads the Climate Impacts Group at NASA, which investigates the interaction of climate change/variability on food systems.
  • Karimbhai Maredia, Professor of Entomology, Michigan State University
  • Jennifer Hodbod, Assistant Professor, Community Sustainability, Michigan State University
