Join us for an invited talk and reception with guest speaker LaNitra Berger, PhD, NAFSA President and Chair of the Board of Directors.

How can international educators use social justice principles in their work? This interactive talk will discuss three key concepts in social justice that can help international educators approach their positions in a more purposeful and inclusive way. As a group, we will develop a "call to action" to determine how we will work differently based on our discussion of social justice and international education.

For those unable to attend the discussion and reception in person, a zoom option is available.  Advanced registration is required at: http://msu.zoom.us/j/99679949549

This talk is co-sponsored by the Office of International Studies in Education, Education Abroad, and the Office for International Students and Scholars. It is the first in a series of events for International Education Week (Nov 13-17) 2023, a U.S. Department of State and Department of Education sponsored week that highlights international education and exchange. This talk is also the first in a series on Race in the Global Context, sponsored by the College of Education.
