Hyekyung Jung is the Senior Deputy Director of the Korean Fair Trade Commission. In this role, she develops new regulatory policy with the aim of enhancing market competitiveness. Her responsibilities also extend to regulating market monopolies, with the aim of allowing innovative companies entry into the market. She has fifteen years of experience working in various regulatory capacities. Her Humphrey Fellowship goals include learning about self-regulation, researching various regulation policies for online platforms, and sharpening her leadership skills. Her ultimate goal is to be an expert in online platform regulation policy so that she can craft policies that prevent unfair trade practices online and promote customer welfare.
