Guyana

Rohmena Chung is the Director of Human Resources at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, the premier national hospital in Guyana.  With over twenty years of public service experience and nine years in the health sector, she is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people, which she does at GPHC by developing structures, systems, and policies that positively impact its 2,500 doctors, nurses, and auxiliary staff.  Additionally, she is often called upon by national leaders to offer her perspective on the long- and short-term challenges facing the health sector.  Her Humphrey Fellowship goals include improving her research and analytical skills, allowing her to advance in her career at the policy level.  Her ultimate goal is to venture into health care management where she will have greater responsibility in the operation and management of the health sector in Guyana.
