VIPP participants selected about 100 pieces of artwork created by Michigan children to be sent to China. They did this as part of the 4-H Children's Art Exchange: a global education program in which Michigan K-to-6th graders send "visual letters" to children their own ages in China. It is conducted by MSU Extension in cooperation with partners in China on a belief that art exchange allows children to learn across lingual and cultural differences.
Volunteers from among our international visiting professionals served as a committee to take on the difficult task of selecting pieces from a large number of submissions. They also translated accompanying text to Chinese. We thank them for their commitment to make the art exchange a success!
We also thank Janis Brinn of MSU Extension for bringing this opportunity to VIPP again!
